Coliseum Series
2015-18
The Coliseum Series pay homage to Portland’s Veterans Memorial Coliseum, ‘a premier jewel of International Style modernism in the city’. These works are formally and conceptually informed by the Memorial Coliseum, and incorporate Modernist elements of architecture and the built environment.
Works from this series lead to Coliseum, a solo show (8/18-2/19, 2018) at the Portland Art Museum, OR. as well as a limited-edition artist book and solo show (8/27-1/12, 2018) at Ampersand Gallery and Fine Books.
Prints in this series were made in collaboration with master printer Judith Baumann at Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts.
